We’re excited about the upcoming launch of Apple Watch! Over the past few weeks we’ve been busy creating Where To? for this new device. Apple Watch enables us to deliver an exciting new way for you, our users, to engage with Where To? right from your wrist. While we’re all eagerly waiting to order the new hardware, I’d like to give you a sneak peek into our labs:
Where To? for Apple Watch is a great companion if you quickly want to find or go to a place without having to pull your iPhone out of the pocket.
The app lets you browse your favorite places and categories. Of course it displays the same favorites as in the iPhone app. You can see the details of a place, check the reviews and mark it as a favorite. When you switch from Apple Watch to iPhone, Where To? shows you the same place.
We can’t wait to get this version into your hands and we’re excited to be one of the first apps available for Apple Watch! Where To? for Apple Watch app will be free for all Where To? 7.x users.

I use this app a lot and it’s my favorite navigation app but with this new update it seems like IOS 8 is now required. I’m disappointed…

Indeed, iOS 8 is required. However, nothing stops you from using Where To? 7. This update is all about Apple Watch which requires iOS 8 anyway.
