Where To? GPS POI app goes international

Update of leading points of interest app for iPhone and iPod touch addresses international markets

Munich – April 28, 2009 – FutureTap is pleased to announce that “Where To?”, the leading GPS points of interest app for the iPhone and iPod touch, today has been updated to version 1.7. Changes include numerous category and brands improvements as well as localizations for French, Spanish, Italian, Portuguese, Greek and a special British English version.

Together with English and German, Where To? is now localized in 8 major languages covering the Americas and major parts of Europe and Africa with localized search capabilities. Where To displays all categories in the user’s mother tongue but uses the local language for its search queries. E.g., for an English speaking user traveling to Montreal in Canada, Where To automatically uses French search terms although the user interface remains in English.

“The Where To on-the-fly translation is a huge improvement for travelers”, says Ortwin Gentz, FutureTap CEO. “Now, users can travel the whole American continent and most of Europe and Africa always searching for points of interest using local search terms. It takes the hassle out of traveling!”

Where To also includes a worldwide database of more than 1,100 brands that are now region-specific. So, British users won’t be overwhelmed with US-only brands anymore.

Where To is the clever way to find destinations, using iPhone and iPod touch. Far more than just a restaurant and bar locator, Where To allows to quickly and easily locate the closest bank, supermarket, hospital, movie theater, and more.

Where To is available for just $2.99 from the Apple App Store (http://www.futuretap.com/whereto/buy) and runs on any iPhone or iPod touch.
