Excellent

I was skeptical about this service, but it ended up being a great asset and such fun in Barcelona. I own a scooter, though, so please be advised that driving in Barcelona is not the easiest if you're not used to being on two wheels.
App was straight forward, efficient, accurate. Service never left me stranded or banging on the helmet case.
I highly recommend Yego to anyone who wants the freedom to ride within a selected area.

Worst Experience and Service

I had rented a scooter, shortly before arriving at my desired destination I was stopped by the Guardia Municipal who obligated me to park in an area that is not appropriate for suspecting that I had drank (it was 3am). When they made the tests I showed up negative because I had not drunk at all.

I thought that everything would end there but no. They have proceeded to change their story to say that I did not have a valid permit to drive due to my license not being from the European Union or in a convention. They have fined me for 500€ to then let me go walking.

If you think my story ends there it does not. Yego then has charged me for 80€ extra because they have had to pay for the moto that was removed. Now it seems I will have to pay a second fine although it really has not been my fault.

The ride was barely 7 euros and was nice and fun but what has unfolded afterwards has been a disaster

Take the metro or another means of transportation where you will not have to deal with entrapment, fraud and scams.

It's the user's liability to follow traffic regulations, as well as parking rules. When we have these situations, we always make the necessary checks, before charging anything to our riders, to confirm if the fine really corresponds to the user.
As you are mentioning, it is the police who fines the scooter not Yego, we only take care of the withdrawal of the scooter from the tow deposit, and I am afraid if the reason why the scooter was towed is because the driver is not carrying its driver license, we need to proceed charging the fine.
However, if you don't agree with the reason of the tow, you can appeal the fine and we will be glad to refund you the money if you win the case.

Easy and straight forward

Such a fun way to move around Barcelona. I have a bike, but sometimes I would rather scoot so that I’m not so sweaty when I arrive - plus they scooters are easy to maneuver. Drive safe and pay attention to the busy roads of Barcelona!
